A variety with a unique character exacerbating the roundness and intensity of the terroir.
Grown on sandy soil, at an altitude of between 1,200 and 1,700 meters above sea level in the heart of the Dipilto Mountains in Nicaragua, this coffee is produced by Olman Valladarez. La Cafetalera Buenos Aires from which he comes is a 215 hectare family business, near the border with Honduras, created over 55 years ago by Luis Emilio Valladarez. The farm, which benefits from a microclimate, is managed in a reasoned manner with production under shade and fertilization of the soil and plants respectful of the environment. The choice of the honey process for this Maracaturra, the cherries of which were harvested from the lower areas of the farm, allows the producer to obtain a rounder and more intense coffee. Full disease control by producers requires constant monitoring of production stages. Their main objective is to carry out in-depth work in terms of quality, in order to develop trusting relationships with their clients, and therefore to forge lasting ties.
