An Ethiopian shimmering in a filter with notes of pineapple, coconut and lemon that give it a fresh, gourmet character.
This delicious Heirloom coffee comes from about 600 different smallholders near Shakiso (Guji zone, southern Ethiopia). The washing station where the smallholders deliver and process their coffee was founded in 2014 by Faysel Abdosh. The coffee cherries are processed washed or dried naturally after delivery. The coffee comes from the Guji region and grows in high mountains at an altitude of 1900 meters. Coffee cultivation in Ethiopia is generally something very special and benefits mainly from the ancient types of coffee (heirloom). Like many other regions in Ethiopia, the Guji region has very fertile soils and an optimal microclimate.
We have obtained this coffee through direct trade with local coffee growers, which we have been doing for several years. Thanks to this strong cooperation and the shortened supply chain, the small farmers receive a reasonable price, well above the world market price. In addition, the quality of the coffee is maintained at a very high level, which is also the result of this close cooperation.
