IAC 125RN
This micro-lot is made from 100% IAC 125 RN. This coffee variety is the result of a cross between the Villa Sarchí coffee variety and the Timorese Hybrid CIFC 832/2. The coffee trees are short and resistant to “roya” and other diseases found in Brazil. Developed by the Agronomic Institute of Campinas (IAC), improved varieties such as the IAC 125 RN significantly reduce the cost of production for farmers – despite their decidedly unsexy name.
